Photogram: Developing.

How to develop your image:
See your image be brought to life.

What you will need:
1.Darkroom
2. Tongs
3.Developer
4.Stop
5.Fixer
6.Water
7.(Optional) Dryer.
8. Last of all, your image.

Step by step:

1.You will to be in a darkroom with the chemicals in separate trays.

2. You will need to submerge your light sensitive paper into the Developer, watch your picture appear. I like to pat it down with a pair of tongs, you can also agitate it by rocking the tray. Leave it in for no longer than 1 minute. If you do, you will ruin the image and it will turn out black, which you don't want. You don't have to leave it in for 1 minute, you can take it out when you feel it had developed to your satisfaction.

3. When you have taken it your paper out using tongs, you now need to place it in the Stop, this is to stop it from developing. Make sure it is submerged with the tongs, you can also rock the tray to agitate. Do this for 30 seconds.

4. Take the paper out of the fix and place into the Fixer. Make sure the paper is submerged with tongs and agitate by rocking the tray back and forth. You should do this for 5 minutes.

5.Now it's time to rinse all the chemicals off, submerge in a sink or bowl of water and leave there for 10 minutes.

6. Using a dryer that is meant for drying pictures, place in the machine and wait for it to come out the other side. Alternatively you can hang it up to dry.

In the next post, I will be explaining how to make a photogram. So stay tuned!
